Songs About Long Distance Relationship

hi all.. it's been weeks or months since I wrote you something.. The thing is I just broke my laptop's keyboard plus my cellphone and yesterday I got it fixed :)
Done with the excuse, I would introduce my new idea for my beloved blog.
So last month or may two months ago one of my friends asked me some songs specifically about "long distance relationship" and I gave him several songs that I found suitable for his request.
Now I'm wondering if many people try to find songs that have a specific topic.
I may not know many songs but I would try to give the title of the songs that I like plus perhaps my personal opinion about the song (or not) and as usual, if you read and you know other songs that you think are suitable with the topic, you can put it in the comment box below :)
I will update this page each time I have new titles and if I remember hahaha..

Dear readers, especially the native readers, you may find some mistakes but please don't laugh at them. Please help me to correct all the mistakes instead. Btw, this is actually not the first story that I created in Spanish, but the first published. It is not the original version because the original version sucks and my professor helped me to correct some of the words even sentences. Also this is just a simple story of how I traveled together with my friends to Thailand, the actual story is much more fascinating, at least for me. Anyway, please enjoy ;)

"Hace 5 meses, exactamente en Marzo de 2014, fui con mis amigos a Tailandia. El total de nuestro viaje fue una semana. Fue una experiencia inolvidable e interesante.

Salimos de Yakarta, a las 7 por la mañana, por eso nosotros necesitamos llegar al aeropuerto a las 5 de la mañana o 2 horas antes del viaje. Llegamos a Bangkok medio día.

The Girl Who Fell in Love with Her Reflection

Once upon a time, there was a little girl named Cassandra. Unlike any other girls, she didn't like to play with her friends. All she liked was sitting in front of her mirror. Until one day, she thought that she had fallen in love with her reflection.

“Oh, my dear girl in the mirror, how lovely is your face. There is no one compares to your beauty,” she said.

She smiled and the reflection smiled back at her. She felt very happy.

Every day she met her reflection, praised her and smiled. The reflection always smiled back.

*******************************************************************************

Until one day, Cassandra went to her school as usual, she studied. During the break, she was going to have her lunch, but no one wanted to sit beside her.

“You’re a loony. Go and have your lunch in front of your stupid mirror,” one of her classmate yelled at Cassandra.

“Sorry, no place for a crazy and pathetic girl here,” the other girl said when Cassandra wanted to sit beside her.

No one wanted her to be there, so she ran home and cried. She desperately needed to talk to her only friend, her reflection, so she went in front of the mirror. And she met her.

She took a look at the mirror and gasped. The reflection was crying!

“Dear my reflection, why are you crying?” Cassandra asked.

The reflection didn’t reply.

“Tell me my dear… why are you crying? Don’t you know that makes me sad not to be able to understand you?” she felt hurt for the reflection makes her even sadder.

The reflection remained silent, only her tears downed like a stream.

“Please… Tell me… I want to help you.” Cassandra begged.
Still, all Cassandra heard was her reflection’s sobs. Cassandra was furious.

“Why you don’t answer! Don’t you know that I love you so much? Don’t you feel the same for me?”

The reflection cried even louder.

“Say it! Do you love me too? Do you?” Cassandra screamed to her reflection.

There was never a reply, so Cassandra just stared blankly at the mirror.

The next day, her parents found her body in her room. Cassandra had killed herself. She left a letter which said

“Dear my reflection,

All my life I want a person to say that she loves me and I always believed that it was you who would say that. But you never say that. I can’t take this anymore so I choose to leave you. Goodbye my dearest reflection.

-Cassandra-”

She never realized that in order to hear her reflection said that she loved her, all she got to do was say “I love you” to herself.

Love, Friendship and Why I Never Want To Grow Up

#1 Love
It’s always about love and its pain or its glory. Let me say that falling in love is easy. You just look at a person, think of him as attractive, get to know him on the surface and fall in love. You feel the glory of love, like whenever he looks at you, you feel the butterfly in your stomach, whenever he accidentally touches you, you blush. But then it doesn’t stop until that. You want the other one to love you back, you want a relationship. The only problem is relationship demands reciprocity. When it doesn’t, you get hurt. Like Miss Swift said, everything that falls, will broke. Broken hearted brings pain.

#2 Friendship
I don’t hate the fact that half of my best buddies were boys because females often love dramas. Moreover I loveee to be free and I hope I can go and have fun like forever! But female friends are so worried about how their family and other people will think about them if they go home late (we’re Asians and what people think is always number one... Duh), etc. Plus most of my female friends don’t have their own transportation, so am I. So there it is. Our friendship always has a limit based on “what people say” and curfew.

On the other hand, males have their own transportation and don’t have to be worried if they go home even at midnight. The problem with the different gender friendship is problem #2. Too close could possibly bring a trouble either for you or for him.

If you have a feeling for a man, you would not want him to ignore any of your messages. And also that means that if your best-different-gender-friend (who you would never want to hurt) unluckily has a feeling for you, you would feel guilty when ignoring his/her message because you know how it hurts to be ignored. Got it?

#3 Why I never want to grow up

They say (again, Asians… ) that I am not that young anymore and I should get married before I reach 30. Not that I don’t want that, but that’s just scary! We went to school for years and then we work, collect some money and are told to get married. Hey neither of school and work prepares us to get married! Plus is that all why you need to work so hard? To spend all your money and pay all the family bills? And what about all the responsibility they put on your shoulder? Like have children and raise them. Should life go on a circle from born as a baby, go to school, work, get married, have a baby, repeat from the beginning? Well I’m sorry if I prefer not to grow up.

The Regret

When life gives us a lemon, we can choose to create a lemonade or consume the sour of the lemon itself. I guess that was a sentence from the movie that I watched two days ago.

It was told that though the main character tried to deny that he still had the bitterness of losing his wife, in the end he could not stand the pain and until one moment when he could not lie again, he chose to face the pain, and the movie ends with a happy ending.

The problem is how can we know if the bitterness is still in there? When can we know if it is the right time to forget the past and move on? Should we let the time washes away all our pain or stop it by now?

You might say that it is not good to linger on the past, but if we move on and face the facts, what can ensure us that we won't regret the decision that we take? Maybe in the future, we look back and ask ourselves "Why did I let it go so easily?".

But I also know that the more we are drawn to our pain, the longer we can't find the answer.

Well, the only way we could take is to pray, don't we? :) May God enlighten us and give us the wisdom to choose the best option. :)

Postcards From Foreigners

Hi all,
it's been a long time since I wrote Postcard To Foreigners. After waiting for more than a month since I sent my first four postcards to my new friend from post crossing, finally I received my first postcard. It is from Canada. Unfortunately it is not from Justin Bieber hahaha.. but I am really happy to have it. She was so considerate that she chose the picture of an aurora. I like aurora so much because it spreads many colorful natural lights. It only happens in high latitude atmosphere and it is so beautiful that I hope someday I can witness it.
Here is the picture of her postcard :

Although the scanner was not working as good as I wanted too but it still looks beautiful, isn't it?
After my first postcard, currently I have had eight postcards in total. They are from Canada, Russia, Germany, U.S.A, Finland and Japan.

From all of them, my favorite is a postcard from Japan. Here is the picture of it:

It is from Akira. ^^ a cool name because it reminds me of my favorite radio presenter, Dimas Akira. The reason why I choose this postcard as my favorite is neither because of the Tokyo Skytree nor because of Akira, but because he put a cute sticker of Doraemon in the back and he also used Doraemon post-stamp. I really want to show to you the post-stamp and the sticker but I forgot to take a picture of it. Maybe later I will update this post.
See you later and happy post crossing to all who enjoy this as much as I do ;)

If I Die Young

NON-SENSE ALERT!

Do you still remember a famous song by The Band Perry with the title "If I Die Young"? Well, every time I listen to this song, it reminds me how everything could happen just in a very short time. On this second I can write my blog but the next seconds, minutes and hours who knows?

So I wonder what I want if I die young. I don't need to be buried in satin or a bed of roses like The Band Perry, but I do love to be laid on a comfy bed because there is where I will be lay forever, right? I like fairy tales and I want to be like one. So, I would be so grateful to be laid on a glass coffin with a bed in it just like Snow White did. I know It's very expensive, but that will be my last wish so why can't I have it? :P

I don't need a whole week of grief, so I hope my family and friends can give me only a day. You know people say when you love somebody, you want them to be happy, so am I. I want to see them move back to their lives and be happy. I won't lie to say that it's okay for them to forget me, I want them to keep me in their heart but only as a good memory and like Linkin Park said, leave out all the rest. :)

Also, I want my family to know that I have my savings in the bank (hopefully the amount will increase so I won't be ashamed to give it hahaha). If I have children, I want them to have it and save it for their future. But If they have not existed I want my dad, if he is still alive, to have it and use it wisely and not to lavish it on something unimportant because I know how bad he is in saving money.

For my lovely books and dolls, I want them to be given to my children or if I haven't have them, I would be glad to give them to the orphans because if those things could bring happiness to me and I want to share them with the children in the world :)

The most melancholic, I want my family and friends to know how much I love them and I will always be grateful to have them in my life despite all the cruel things I have said or done to them. :)

If Dani Pedrosa hasn't retired I want to ask my best friend, anyone who is willing to tell him how much I adore him and want him to do what he thinks is the best for him. Hahaha!

Last thing, I pray to God that I have done good enough and that He will accept me in His kingdom and if He allows me I want to be (warning! the most nonsense of all) one of the stars in the sky to share the light hahaha...

That Strange Feeling

Hello...
Have you ever felt that you had so many problems and that your dream may be shattered? Well, I have.
That feeling when you found out you did small stupid mistakes which had a great impact really really sucks.
But I won't explain it because only when you experience the same thing that you can understand.

Well. what got me confused is that today I felt very bad at the beginning and then I stumbled and fell literally fell. It caused me the pain on my knee but suddenly I felt better. Hahaha.. Maybe there was some hormone to make me feel relax? Maybe I just felt what could go worse again? Or my brain was on my knee? I never knew.  Am I a masochist? Probably.

N.B. If you have that uneasy feeling right now, I'm telling you, don't try to take any sympathy from anyone especially if he/she is a person who will say "I told you so" or "Okay, just give it up now". It will get worse.
It's better for you to get lose for a moment. Do anything that can please you until that miserable feeling is gone.

Why is it all about money

Why is it all about money?
Men work really hard to collect money
Till no love left but love for money
And your heart is blinded with greedy

Money comes, money goes
You can work as much as you want
Pretend that it's all that matters to your happiness
But when it goes, what's left for you?

In your mind is a big question how to enlarge your profit
This time, you can buy your friendship with golds
But until when will they stick with you?
When you  are withered, who stays?

Before you lose your mind,
can you take a little from your precious time?
Look at people around you,
Have you taken their love for granted?

Postcards To Foreigners

Hi, I'll spend a little of my precious time to share my new experience. I should have written it last week but I could not find the right time to do it. To limit my time, I will only write for 5-songs-long. Hahaha..

So here is my new interesting and valuable experience.
Several weeks ago my friend told me that he joined a community where they do postcard crossings. This community has thousands followers and they come from different countries. After spending some time to ponder whether I should also join this community, I answered a big YES!

So here is the rule:
The beginner like me, should only send maximum 5 cards to the addresses given by the community. After all the postcards arrive to their destination, this limit will be increased to 6, and so on..

So at that time I didn't have any post card yet, so my friend gave me one. wow! thanks! So I wrote my first postcard to Russia ^^

And because I wanted to send as many as possible, I looked for empty postcards in bookstore, finally I found them at Gramedia at Semanggi. I bought 3 more postcards and wrote them the next day.
Finally, last Thursday I sent all my first 4 postcards to their destinations, to Russia, German, China and USA.

I hope they will arrive soon because I can't wait to send more postcards.

FYI, It's not ok to spread the addresses, so I blurred them :)
Also, I can't wait to tell you when I get my first postcard from the other member ^^. Hopefully it won't take too long and reduce my joy in postcard crossing. See you later...

1st Mistake in New Year

Hi there! I guess lately I've been in a mood to write and write again. So here I am, telling my story about my  first 2 days in this new year.
So what did I do in the 1st of January 2014? I cleaned my home all day because today my dad will be back from Lampung after visiting my big sis and my two little cute nephews. A little introduction to my dad, he is the most captious man when it comes to the cleanliness and tidiness of our home.

So yesterday, I cleaned my room, had my lunch, swept the the floor, had my dinner, watched the final of American Next Top Model Guys and Girls, ironed all the clothes and went to bed. That's it.

Today, I'm kinda having my first real interaction with other people directly in 2014. So today I started with waking up late, went to the bus stop and there was this one man who stepped on my way when I was entering the bus and I almost fell. Usually that simple thing will quite ruin my day, but this morning I took it easy. What could possibly ruin your new year, right? All my journey to the office is safe. ^^

I arrived fortunately 13 minutes before 9 at my office. Some of my friends started to comment on my new haircut. -___-" okay, it's too short but hey, at least I didn't stuck on the same haircut :P So I just let them. And from my point of view that was a right decision. Still no mistake.

After spending some time chit chat, some of my friends brought some food from their hometown and asked me if I wanted to taste it. I enjoyed the fried tempe until it left only the crumbs inside the jar. But then I proved new year didn't mean all my bad habit could be fixed right away, especially my sloppiness. I let the jar fell from my hand. The crumbs went anywhere. And that was my first official mistake of 2014! Yeay!
The good thing was I didn't drop the jar near my table hahaha.. so I assumed there would be no rat or cockroach near my seat. :P

At the night, while serving my dinner for myself, I accidentally dropped a plate again. Fortunately that was an empty plastic plate. So with 2 days we got, I made 2 small mistakes. ^^"
I hope it won't continue for the rest of the year.

There are 2 questions left: Why am I so careless? Is there any cure for it? :)
